Rub it up, Squeeze it out; K-Love is bringing the Celtics to relevancy

I am so sorry for my recent absence from this blog, but the combination of finals, not having Wi-Fi, and a psychotic landlord really have gotten in my way of blogging.

Now, as most of you know, Kevin Love is on the block and just about everyone in the league would want a chance to snatch up this white power.  Several teams have been considered to be in the hunt for him, but it just gives me a hunch that Ainge is going to pull of something Kevin Garnett-esque.

The Celtics have everything a team needs to get a deal like this done.  The cap space to resign him, the urge to start winning again, an elite distributor (Rondo), young smart coach, intelligent GM, history of winning, and so on and so on.  They even have a top 8 pick and the 17th pick in this years draft, as well as 8 first round picks in the next four years (thank you Brooklyn).

Not only the Celtics have what K-Love and Minnesota want, but they also have enough picks and cap space to make the team a real contender once Love is bleeding green.

I know Rondo and Love isn't quite enough to compete with the LeBron's and Durant's of the world, but if Ainge could get another some-what big move done, like I don't know, reuniting Gordon Hayward and Brad Stevens?!?!  Maybe even signing a Lance Stevenson, or in a perfect world, send some picks to the Big Apple for Mr. Carmelo Anthony.

Before I get too far ahead of myself and start hanging banner 18, a logical trade package has to be put together:

Timberwolves get: Gerald Green (two years left on contract), Sullinger or Olynyk, this year's top 8 pick, and any other first round pick of their choice.

Celtics get: Kevin Love and take Chase Budinger off their books

The trade gets the 'Wolves a franchise changing draft, a solid Sullinger, who was dubbed by Roy Hibbert "a potential Love of the East," some money off of their books and a lot more shot attempts for their emerging Gorgui Deng.  This trade is also much more than any other team can put together without devastating their entire franchise.

Like I said before, rub it up, squeeze it out, Done. Deal.

Big Al Jerfferson deserves a blog about him

I just want to start off with saying that Big Al has been one of my favorite players in the league every since I went to his bobblehead day way back in his rookie season of 2004! Really happy to see him finally earn a little big of spot light the past few months, it is more than deserved.

The media has finally recognized that the Bobcats would be no where without their lumbering PF/C.  I have read nothing but high praise about him.  From his smooth hook shots, to unstopple pump fakes, to his pluthera of moves, and even to his franchise-changing defense.

Wait...WHAT??  His defense?  Are we talking about about the same Al Jefferson?

Well, apparently, yes.  Big Al, whom has been considered as being a shoe in for the league's "All NBA No-Defense" the past several years, has seemingly made a complete 180 degree turn in non other than Charlotte, NC.

I can't help but credit Steve Clifford for the turnaround.  As much as I love the big man, I have to give credit where credit is due.  And Clifford deserves this one.  There's just no way a player like Big can be so bad on D for so long and then suddenly turn it around without the help of a new head coach.  Although Clifford is not my coach of the year, it's a damn shame if he doesn't crack the top three.
