Imagine
this. You are a young and very talented baseball star. It has always been your
dream to get the call from a Major League manager saying your talents have
proven you are ready to move up and play with the big boys. In this case, for
George Springer, his dream was finally becoming a reality. Walking up to the
plate, I could only imagine the excitement he must of felt. Though after taking
a quick look up at the scoreboard, he not only realized he was on the WORST
team in baseball, but also that his name was misspelled...
Are
you kidding me? How hard is it to read off a piece of paper and copy the
correct spelling onto the computer for not only the people in the ballpark to
see but also the world! If I were to take a shot at as to how much the person
behind this horrific act makes it would be minimum wage. If it is more than that,
I feel very sorry for the team that has to pay this man's salary.
But
hey, I am not just going off on this mysterious man behind the big screen.
Earlier this month, someone made the same error on one of the top teams in
baseball. The New York Yankees recently signed a familiar face, to their squad
in Jacoby Ellsbury, who they have seen many times prior except in a Red Sox
uniform. With that being said you'd think they would know how to spell the
man's name, but I guess not. Maybe they should of saved a little bit of that
153 million dollar contract, when they signed Ellsbury, and put it toward
hiring a more qualified individual for this simple job. After all baseball is America's pastime, and simple jobs such as these are our nations backbone. #welldone #nosoap
