MLB Draft Profile: Another Gordon

We've all heard of Tom "Flash" Gordon, the outstanding relief pitcher.  We've all heard of Dee Gordon, a flash in his own right, the second baseman for the Dodgers who has 30 stolen bases this season in just 51 games.  If anyone is wondering that puts him on pace for 95 stolen bases this year.  Now if only the guy was fast...

Who you probably haven't hear is that Dee is the son of Tom Gordon (I just found that out today) and that he has another son, Dee's brother, that is the #6 overall prospect in this year's First Year Player Draft.  Just to show you where the guy's head is at, his feelings about receiving a full ride scholarship to play at Florida State next year?  That it "wouldn't be too shabby" of a place to continue his development as a man and a baseball player.  Huge dick, gotta love the guy.  There was concern about him being a skinny little bitch at 165 lbs as a junior, dude hopped into the gym and added 15 pounds of muscle over the offseason then posted this as his stat line for his senior year, .494/.576/.843 with five homers, two triples and 10 doubles in 27 games.  Boy can play a little ball, can't wait to see him shredding major league pitching.

Josh Beckett Throws No-Hitter

Well folks bad teams do bad things.  The bobcats had an air ball free throw the year they set the record for the worst winning percentage in NBA history and the Phillies are abysmal offensively so no one should be surprised by this result.  Congrats to Josh Beckett though.  The man really battled. Had thrown 90 pitches through 6 innings and adjusted accordingly so that he could make it through the rest of the game.  Well done Beckett.

Listen, I don't even blame the guy.  Can you imagine the frustration of being a career major leaguer sent back down to AAA to catch some shit-head cock bags that are at least ten years younger than you? And for that injustice the asshole Dodgers are only paying you hundreds of thousands of dollars a year! On top of that you have no useful skill set to contribute to society outside of baseball because you were born in the Dominican Republic and majored in baseball.  Golly, that's enough to drive any man to bite someone's ear clean off their head.  I know I would, plus Olivo gave the Dodgers the option.  The guy asked for a release in March so he could go play pro ball with some team that was bad enough to need his career .241 batting average.  If you don't release players when they demand it, you run the risk of having a prospects ear bitten off.  This one's on you Dodgers, you play with fire you get the flame.

Merry Openingdaymas

Well folks it's here.  The beginning of another season.  You know what's great about Openingdaymas in baseball? Everyone has hope that their team will overachieve and have an incredible season.  Just kidding.  The Phillies, Astros, and Marlins all have no hope and unlike basketball you can't lose 26 games in a row so you can get a franchise changing draft pick.  Baseball just don't work like that people.  So here's to the Phillies becoming the worst team in baseball in two years and to the 2018 season if you're an Astros/Marlins fan.


There is cause for excitement though, don't let me kill your vibe entirely.  Bryce Harper added about 2,000 pounds of muscle in the offseason so watching him break Barry Bonds record this year should be fun.  Mike Trout is still only like 12 years old so despite the fact that he's been AL MVP runner-up in back to back years we still get to watch him develop.  The Tigers will lose in the playoffs again (shout out to Ben Rome) and the Yankees will probably disappoint.  We get to watch Ian Kinsler get mad when he finds out the Rangers won their Openingdaymas game (they're playing the Phillies) and have his 0-162 dreams get dashed.

Without further ado, I'll give you the final standings for this season.  No need to play any regular season games, just skip to the playoffs because I already know what's going to happen.
