Bad news for Tanaka, Yanks. Good news for everyone else

Last night America's newest Asian Invasion, Masahiro Tanaka, suffered his first loss in over a year.  Although he only gave up 4 runs (3 earned), and struck out seven in six innings, Tanaka just did not look sharp.

For most pitchers, suffering your first loss three weeks into May is far from a bad sign, but for Tanaka, it is definitely cause for concern.   In six innings, he surrendered 8 hits to the 16-27 Cubs.

The Cubs are also the first team in Tanaka's MLB career to face him for a second time.  Just imagine what will happen when actual MLB teams (especially AL East teams) get a second crack at him.

I'm not saying his MLB career is about to end, but I am saying that his 2.39 ERA will not hold up.  He might still get his Ks, but don't expect him to put the horrendous Yanks rotation and line up on his back much longer.  They'll need somebody to step up to make a run.

Just a reminder, he did lose to the CUBS.  Who have 1 player over .300 (Starlin at .301) and just two over .275.  They also have Mike Olt as their everyday 3rd baseman (.183).  Like I said, bad sign for the Yanks.
