Music To Heal Your Study Woes.

We all welcome the challenge of finals, whether we love em’ or hate em’. Staying awake for long hours of the night trying to remember every last detail your professor has taught you over the last 3-4 months.

Periodically going through the “I am going to drop out” phase, it is all part of being an American College Student.

So as the school year has winded down to its end, I present to you the songs that have gotten me through the year. Enjoy these tunes one last time and let it present an opportunity to look back at all the crazy things you have done, or lack there of. But with non the less, enjoy. #sticksandstonesmaybreakmybones

And to answer your question, Yes. I did write this article during finals week #nosoap.

MUST WATCH: Madden 15 Trailer Released.

It seems EA Sports has wasted no time in preparing for the upcoming NFL season. Today they have released the trailer for the coveted video game that celebrated its 25th anniversary last year. Of course I am talking about Madden.

The trailer shows Carolina Panthers Linebacker Luke Kuechly. For those of you who don’t know, Kuechly won the defensive player of the year award last season, so it was a no brainer for EA to have him represent the video game franchise in their latest ad. But to sum things up, the trailer really doesn’t show us anything regarding new improvements to the game itself, other than its stellar graphics.

So the next topic to discuss is who will be on the cover? Will it be Kuechly? How about his teammate Cam Newton? What about his ex-teammate Steve Smith? Who knows, but one thing we do know is, is that the NFL season is a few months away, there is no need to hype up a video game that will be released at the end of August.  #staygoldenEA #nosoap

Nothing But Braun, Brewers, and Bruises.

In sports, we see some crazy things happen. Saturday night in Milwaukee we saw just that, something crazy. As the famed “juicer” Ryan Braun was warming up to get on the on deck circle, he abruptly decided he was going to swing his bat before leaving the dugout and clocked his teammate Jean Segura right in the face.
Let’s be honest here people. Braun can’t control stuff like this from happening, after all the guy missed 65 games last season from supposable use of steroids. The urge to swing that bat must be killing him that he cannot wait to step up to the plate and smack the cover off the ball.

As for Segura, according to team manager Ron Roenicke, he suffered nothing severe as to a concussion or anything. But I’m sure he’s going to have a good size bruise on his noggin’. But hey, could be worse. Just ask Delino DeShields Jr., who took a fastball to the face last week. #nopainnogain #nosoap

A 4.11 40-Yard Dash

First off I'll apologize for our lack of posts lately.  I know you guys count on us to give your lives meaning and shit like that, but we've all been pretty busy with finals or taking pictures with Mike Stud (Cody).  Anyway that's neither here nor there.  Now to the real topic, like I've said before, speed kills, it absolutely kills.  I mean it's just evolution.  The faster organisms run away from the slower organisms, the big ones beat up the little ones.  Same goes in the NFL or in almost any sport.  Bigger, faster, stronger.  That's why when I saw this video I got all giddy like a school girl.  A 4.11 40? That's insane fast.  I'm surprised he didn't light the grass on fire when he was blazing over top of it.  I don't think he's very smart, but that doesn't mean much, the man can straight run.

Good lord.  Just straight fire.

Correction: Mets have Shining Light

Wow.  How quickly things change.  Just a couple of hours ago I was rambling about how doomed the Mets are as a franchise.  Just a couple of hours ago, I was putting down Wright, and questioning their lack of a fan base.

Then, a Japanese kamikaze fighter pilot rose from the dead to shed a ray of light bursting from Queens, NY.  That's right, Daisuke Matsuzaka has returned.

Today, he earned his first ever major league save for the boys on Long Island.  Wow, a few years ago Dice-K was getting beer thrown on him on the streets of Boston, and now he is on his way to resurrecting not only himself, but a somewhat storied franchise.

God speed Dice-K.  God speed.

P.S. This is a picture of Bartolo Colon.

Looks like the Mets have ZERO fans

Recently, the New York Times came out with an interactive map that shows each MLB teams' fan base. Unlike previous maps trying to show fan bases, this one happens to be spot on and incredibly precise.

Personally (being a Sox fan), the most impressive part of the map is showing exactly where Red Sox nation turns into the evil empire.  The line is now called the "Munson-Nixon line" which is down right hysterical for all Yankee and Red Sox fans.

Unfortunately, the land does not show "Blue Jays territory" (all of Canada), and does not label the White Sox fan base, although you might be able to see it engulfed within Cubs Land.  The map does, however, show the Mets and Athletics fan bases...or lack there of.

I'm giving the A's a pass on this one, just because they are about everybody's second favorite team and have earned nothing but love from around the country. The Mets, however, have absolutely no fans.

Absolutely destroyed by Yankee territory, the Mets have trouble to find fans to begin with.  Not to mention how unlikeable they are, their pathetic 'Citi Field' and lack of overall talent, the Mets look to be in a bit of a funk.

This blog is pretty much just here to help scare Mets fans.  Their best player is now 31, hasn't played for a contender in almost 7 years and seems to be on and off the DL.  Their best pitcher just underwent Tommy John, and seems to be over whelmed with the media.  Their young rotation is more disappointing everyday and their superstar rookie catcher is hitting under .200.

The Mets suck, their fan base sucks, their players suck, and their prospects suck.  I hate them and will never get over '69.  So here's to the future Queens; CHEERS!

Throwback Thursday: The Human Fish's History Making Performance in The '08 Olympic Games.

It’s everyone’s favorite day, Throwback Thursday. With the recent rumor about Michael Phelps return to professional swimming, today we take a look back at his 2008 summer Olympic games performance.
Phelps performance in the 08 Olympics was without a doubt, AMAZING. He accomplished something that will probably never be accomplished again by an Olympic athlete, in winning 8 gold medals in the 8 events attempted.

Well of course, maybe Phelps could break his own record now that he has come out of retirement after a short 18-month absence. According to his number one fan Ryan Lochte, in his NBC sports interview (WATCH HERE: http://olympictalk.nbcsports.com/2014/04/23/ryan-lochte-inspired-by-michael-phelps-return-video/), he says Phelps has been kidding everyone and instead of doing things retired people do, he has been getting better than he has before.

But hey, leave it to Lochte to give a professional interview regarding his idol Phelps. As to Phelps coming back to the pool, who knows what is to come. Will he win? Will he be in contention? Will Lochte be okay?

So thank you Phelps. Not only for your accomplishments in the 08 Olympic games, but also for showing the greatest country in the world that by smoking pot, success can be achieved. #USA #nosoap

Heart Stopping Video

I literally can't get enough of this shit.  Put it on full screen in a dark room and it's like you're jumping off the building with them.  It'll definitely get the blood flowing that's for sure.  I'm a little lightheaded from that and this is five minutes after I watched it.

T-Mac Will Actually Play Baseball

"Former NBA star Tracy McGrady has made the opening day roster of the Sugar Land Skeeters as a pitcher.
"It's an honor to be a part of this club," McGrady said in a statement released by the team." -ESPN.COM

I mean this is sort of embarrassing right?  The guy played a little baseball in high school, may have tossed the rock around in the back yard maybe 10-12 times since then and makes an independent league team?  There's no way T-Mac is good enough to be throwing for them.  This is a Bernie Mac-Mr. 3000 level publicity stunt and my goodness it's working.  When the SUGARLAND SKEETERS are the fifth most important news story on the great villain that is ESPN's media control you know that their ridiculous marketing scheme has been effective.  Oh and how about this, ESPN trying to make T-Mac's first game sound good.

"McGrady made his first start last week in an exhibition game against Alvin Community College, throwing 15 pitches (nine for strikes) and allowing three hits and a run in one inning of work."

Wow! Only one run and three hits in an inning of work against Alvin Community College?  His parents must be so proud.  I'm just hoping ESPN 11 decides to air his first game, I'm always down for a good laugh.

Perfect form.  Just phenomenal.

Real World: Washington Sports.

Wednesday, the NFL presented all 32 teams their schedules for the upcoming 2014-2015 season. Its safe to say new head coach, Jay Gruden, likes what he sees.

Taking a look into the grind ahead, the Redskins have a strong opportunity to climb the ladder and get out of the bottom of the division they have been so familiar with from previous seasons.

I know its VERY early for any predictions to be made at this point, but.... based off of last seasons stats, I am liking the skins chances for a division title run. The excitment can be seen throughout the community already, and it's April. DC is finally starting to do things right. There must be something in the water because the Wizards are looking good in the playoffs, and no that was not a typo.
It's funny to think that 3 out of the 4 DC teams are destined for greatness, and the ones being excluded are the Caps, who over the last couple of seasons have almost always been one of the teams to beat in hockey. A lot of buzz has been generated by the Nationals since winning the NL East in 2012. The past two seasons, SI has had them favored to win the World Series, and although last year they failed to make the playoffs, their late season run set great expectations for this season. Things such as this have brought more and more fans into the sporting world that is Washington Sports, and I am loving every damn moment of it.
For years, DC teams have been one of the many laughing stocks of professional sports, and finally this is not that case. I say this with high expectations for not only the Redskins 2014-2015 season, but for the rest of the Washington sports teams, lets keep this train rolling. #Doitformycity #Nosoap
