Klinsmann Does Not Mess Around

Landon Donovan has reportedly been left off of the final 23 man roster for Brazil.  This is an absolute shocker for those of you who have been living under a rock for the last 15 years.  Just unbelievable.  Klinsmann said that no one was a lock, but we all assumed that Landon would safely be on there.  I'm stunned and don't even know what to say.  I mean he should have at least been on the roster for moral support and the emotional pick.  Just so everyone is on the same page Landon Donavon has scored 5 goals in the World Cup in his career, or as many as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robin Van Persie have combined.  Doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense right now and certainly has thrown the current administration in the firing line if this doesn't pan out.  It seemed unlikely that the United States would progress through the opening round after the groups were announced, but now it seems nearly impossible.  If they don't make it through that round, which they probably wouldn't have anyway, blame will be thrown, unjustly, on Klinsmann for leaving Donovan off the squad.
