Wizards Lose Game 4. Pacers Lead Series 3-1.

Happy Monday everybody. Let me first begin this post with saying I am very disappointed with the Washington Wizards. For those of you who were not informed they blew a 19 point lead, to lose their third game in a row to the Indiana Pacers, who now lead the series 3-1 and with that the Wizards face a playoff elimination in the upcoming game 5.

What makes me even more disappointed is the fact that the media has criticized this team of being “too young” and “inexperienced” to be where they are at in the playoffs. Well news flash people, the Wizards made it to the second round of the playoffs beating a pretty decent team in the Chicago Bulls in 5 games, when most of those same highly critical annalists had them losing in 4 games. Point to be made, they are inexperienced, but that doesn't matter. I think Randy Wittman said it best in his post game interview when he said, “We’re not going to make inexperience our excuse for losing tonight, or any night for that matter. These guys are in the NBA, just as everybody on the court is, and they should play like NBA players”.
When time was winding down, John Wall found himself with the ball, down by 3, with a chance at potentially making the game tying shot. But instead he stood there, open as a college kids textbook, and didn’t take the shot. But you can’t blame Wall for the mistake. After all he wouldn’t have been in that position if they didn’t blow a 19-point lead in the first place.

I honestly hope Wittman realizes that he needs to have his star guys out on the court when the game starts to slip away from them. Last night Andre Miller and Drew Gooden were on the court for a prolonged time, while young guys were taking a break. It’s the playoffs people. You are down one damn game, with the potential of tying the series and you let your guard down for the majority of the 3rd, and watch Paul George and Roy Hibbert find their stride and make a late game surge and steal the win away from you. I am disappointed.

Lets all hope the Wizards get their rear ends in gear for game 5 because if they don’t, they will be sitting at home watching the playoffs with the rest of us. Game 5 is on Tuesday at 7:00pm, in Indiana. #dcrising #nosoap
